Brevard County Detention Center Interior Renovations, Phase III
The structure of Ivey’s work for this project consisted of existing concrete walls for the exterior and interior bearing walls.
The HVAC system included a new air-handler units and associated metal ductwork. The plumbing system included concealed piping, penal style fixtures in inmate holding areas and standard porcelain fixtures in non-inmate areas. The renovated areas were fully sprinklered for fire protection with security style sprinkler heads in inmate areas. The electrical system included new power and lighting requirements. A new communication and data system was installed and tied into the main jail complex computer network. Ivey’s installed new security cameras and electronic door control systems in the booking and release inmate holding cells.
