Orlando-Melbourne International Airport Federal Inspection Station
Melbourne Airport Authority
Ivey's Construction, Inc. renovated the 70,000 sq. ft. Federal Inspection Station at the Orlando-Melbourne International Airport. Our scope includes site infrastructure, demolition, new building, re-roofing, interior renovations, interior finishes, casework, and data communications and security systems, as well a passenger boarding bridge and new chiller.
Because of Orlando-Melbourne International Airport's regulatory and operational requirements, Ivey's preconstruction services thoroughly addressed the following.
Coordination with federal regulatory agencies. For the Orlando-Melbourne International Airport Federal Inspection Station Project, Ivey's coordinated closely with Customs and Border Protection to maintain current security functionality and ensure that the final facility not just conforms to CBP requirements but enhances their mission.
Minimization of impact to client operations. Ivey's used phasing and demising plans, material storage, construction vehicle parking, and site clean-up practices to maintain secure airport operations while ensuring that construction does not impact the guest experience at Orlando-Melbourne International Airport.
