Ivey’s Construction completed the newly renovated Cocoa West Community Center project on time and under the Guaranteed Maximum Price Budget by utilizing value engineering. Ivey’s fast track schedule allowed this project to be completed in just seven months resulting in minimal down time to the facility. The facility is open to the public and consists of indoor and outdoor basketball courts, meeting rooms and space for local Brevard County events.
Ivey’s scope of work included site work, utilities, concrete flatwork, landscaping, a new 2,000 square foot porte-cochere, sodding, exterior and interior architectural remodeling and finishes comprised of new ceramic tile flooring, acoustical ceilings, luxury vinyl tile and interior/exterior paint throughout.
Ivey’s scope of work also included the replacement of the gymnasium flooring with new Mondo high-performance flooring, replacement of the entire HVAC system, including new ductwork, new windows throughout the facility, a fire alarm system and hurricane impact automatic bi-parting doors and storefront system at the main entrance.
