In January 2020, Ivey’s Construction was awarded the contract to serve as general contractor and construction manager for the new Planet Play project at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex.
The project included construction of multiple high tech, interactive play areas, a coffee, wine and beer bar, the suspension of massive celestial bodies representing the nine planets from the ceiling.
Technology is integrated throughout the facility with digital elements such as multiple interactive video monitors, display walls, and educational components.
